Manchester United to move for Hugo Lloris if David de Gea leaves – Report

Manchester United would move in for Tottenham Hotspur keeper, Hugo Lloris, if David de Gea left Old Trafford – according to the Daily Star. De Gea has just over eighteen months left on his current deal at Manchester United, and whispers of him leaving the club for a return to sunny Spain are growing stronger.

It’d be a huge blow to lose De Gea, particularly after watching him grow into one of the leagues best at Manchester United. He came in a skinny little Spaniard who struggled with the physicality of the Premier League, but if he does leave, he’ll leave a man who has the hard-earned respect of the Old Trafford crowd.

Nobody could begrudge him if he did move back to his home city of Madrid, heck, the temptation of working with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale would turn every bodies head.

I like Lloris, and I think he’s one of the best keepers in the league – however David de Gea is better in my opinion, and Daniel Levy would charge us through the roof for Spurs’ French keeper, so I’d rather us offer big bucks to De Gea in the hope of persuading him to stay here for a little while longer.

Would Lloris be a worthy replacement to David de Gea? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
