Manchester United Football Club will reject any approaches for Marcus Rashford this summer, sources have told ESPN.
The 20-year-old has largely been on the periphery of things since Alexis Sanchez’s arrival at Old Trafford, despite the Mancunian being a two-goal hero in United’s victory over Liverpool last month.
However, that didn’t stop pundits and the likes hinting that Rashford may have to move away in order to grow and develop as a player.
Obviously, United have no plans on parting with their homegrown hero, and heck, why should they? He’s a world-class talent with the footballing world at his feet, and it makes sense for United to let him sit in behind Sanchez, as he develops and grows with every passing training session.
No doubt Rashford will get his minutes to prove his worth, and in my opinion, Jose Mourinho absolutely loves him so the manager will make sure he’s happy at whatever cost.
We’re lucky to have him, and as the case with all young talents produced by our academy, I’d be delighted if he spends the duration of his career as a Red Devil, scoring goals for fun and winning trophies aplenty.
