Manchester United to renew interest for summer target in January

Manchester United Football Club tried to lure Southampton’s Sadio Mane to Old Trafford during the summer window, with Louis van Gaal making a sole bid for the speedy striker – but that was immediately rejected by Ronald Koeman.

According to the Daily Express, Manchester United are set to revive their interest in the 23-year old when the transfer window opens in January.

The Senegalese international has thoroughly impressed at the start of the season, and he was certainly one of the key figures in Southampton’s 3-1 victory over champions Chelsea at the weekend – grabbing two assists.

The bid over the summer was thought to be around the £23million mark, but that is expected to be upped if United do return for him when the window opens in a couple of months time.

Personally I feel he’d be a good addition, United don’t have an awful lot of pace up top and he’d certainly add that. If you couple him up with Anthony Martial we’d have plenty of pace on the counter attack.
