Manchester United to revive interest in midfielder come January

Manchester United had a mixed transfer window. It started off superbly with the signings of Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger, and then came a bit of a lull in proceedings, until the deadline day move for Anthony Martial.

Plans for the January window are already well underway, and according to the Daily Star, Manchester United are considering a £17.7million move for the 29-year old Lucas Biglia.

Lazio’s valuation of the Argentine was considered too high by Manchester United officials, but after a slow start on the pitch it looks as though Louis van Gaal is keen to bolster his squad in the January window.

Personally I’m not quite sure Biglia is the right option for Manchester United. We now have plenty of options in the middle of the park and I’d much prefer to see the club spend their money in the other two thirds of the pitch.
