Manchester United to sell Marouane Fellaini for £15million

Manchester United dished out a huge £27.5m for the Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini on deadline day last summer, and its fair to say he split opinion from the start. Some United fans (myself included), claimed that he’d do the dirty work, whereas others were convinced he’d offer nothing.

Sadly, it hasn’t quite worked out for Fellaini at Old Trafford this year, putting in disappointing performances far more often than not. According to the Express, United are preparing to cut their losses on him while he still has value, and are looking to offload him for £15million.

Whilst no club has shown an interest so far, if a club comes in offering the aforementioned £15million transfer fee, Louis van Gaal and Manchester United would accept the bid hastily.

It feels like it would be in the best interests of all parties to sell Marouane Fellaini as soon as possible. He was limited to just 16 appearances for the club this season, and he’s reaching that point in his career where he wants to play regular football.

Would you sell Marouane Fellaini? Or would you be willing to give him another year? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.

  1. The same scenario that made Manchester United sign Fellaini may end up resurfacing during this summer transfer window. We signed him as a desperate attempt after missing out on targets. It seems we are doing the same thing – pointing at players and then not signing them and eventually failing to sign any
