Manchester United are preparing to sell Mexican sensation Javier Hernandez at the end of the season, according to The Guardian. The 26-year old striker is currently out on loan at Real Madrid, but it is unlikely that they’ll make an offer for him permanently, says Mark Ogden.
Javier Hernandez was an instant hit amongst the Old Trafford faithful, lighting up the Premier League in his first season due to his prolific goalscoring ability. The forward always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, but since his debut year, it all went down hill rather rapidly.
United spent big on Robin van Persie and that pretty much signalled the end of Hernandez, who was always one of those players who wasn’t happy being sat on the bench. That led to a loan move in the summer as he was overlooked by Louis van Gaal, but he has found his game time limited at Real Madrid also.
With eighteen months left on his contract, United will be forced to sell him this summer or let his contract run down and let him leave on a free in June 2016.
Ogden goes on to say that even if United decide not to spend big on Falcao, the club will try and get rid of Hernandez anyway.
