Manchester United are still clearly intent on bringing in a marquee signing this summer if available, and with just a week left until the deadline slams shut, Louis van Gaal and Edward Woodward will have to work fast to lure a world class player to Old Trafford this summer.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Manchester United have prepared a huge €80million offer for Thomas Muller with an official bid likely to go in for the German within 72 hours.
Sky Germany go on to say that Bayern Munich are likely to turn down that offer for their 25-year old star man, who has already scored 140 goals in his competitive career to date.
There is no doubting that Thomas Muller would be that world class striker who’d certainly change our fortunes in terms of goalscoring this season, but persuading him to leave his hometown club will be an extremely tough ask. However if anyone can its Louis van Gaal as the pair have an brilliant relationship.
