Manchester United’s transfer activity has died down somewhat in recent weeks, especially after failing to secure Pedro Rodriguez and Nicolas Otamendi. The club aren’t giving up though, and according to the Daily Mail, there could be big money moves for two players in the offing.
First up is Thomas Muller – whom United are seriously interested in but no official bid has been made. It is thought that Louis van Gaal is prepared to offer £60million for the man he gave a debut to whilst at Bayern Munich a few years back, and there is no doubting that he’d add a sufficient amount to Manchester United’s attacking prowess.
Sadio Mane is a bit of an odd one that seemingly came out of nowhere. The Senegal international had a stunning debut season for Southampton, and his goalscoring record in general is pretty good, but you feel that United should be after players of a much higher calibre – especially given the 23-year old would probably cost more than Pedro.
Personally I still feel that Manchester United could be trying to secure a marquee transfer over the next week or so of the transfer window, and heres to hoping Louis van Gaal can pull something incredible out of the bag – and quickly.
