Manchester United have been told to stump up a huge £65million if they want to land Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to The Sun. The Belgian striker has been in sensational form for Everton this term, and he tops the Premier League goalscoring charts, with fifteen at this point in time.
Louis van Gaal has reportedly been monitoring the 22-year old hitman throughout the season and has been impressed with the Belgian international, particularly in front of goal.
However, Manchester United will face stiff competition for the signature of Lukaku, with Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all thought to be interested in signing the Everton striker.
£65million seems an awful lot of money, but The Toffees did pay £30million to land him from Chelsea, and he has certainly improved since then and you’d understand that they want some profit on an investment they made. He is still young as well, and he could lead the line for a top club for the next ten years or so.
