According to the Sun, Sheffield United starlet Harry Maguire is currently being tracked by the coaching staff at Manchester United. The 20-year old has played 99 games at centre-back for the Blades, and the £4m rated defender also has one England U21 cap.
With the transfer window only closing last week, the earliest possibility of a move for Maguire would be January – with many Reds expecting Moyes to spend big just after Christmas. Names such as Ander Herrera and Fabio Coentrao are also reported to be targets come the mid-season transfer window.
Maguire is a 6’4 centre-back who certainly has time on his side, but if United do make a move for the youngster he’ll currently be way down the pecking order. Young talents such as Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans and Michael Keane would all be ahead of Maguire, so he’d certainly have to bide his time.
