Louis van Gaal met the media today, ahead of United’s trip to the South Coast to take on Bournemouth tomorrow in the evening game. Although we have a whole host of injury concerns, the Iron Tulip has given us some positive updates regarding a few of the players currently sidelined.
We currently have eight players out through different problems, and although some of them are serious, Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera and Matteo Darmian are all expected to return before the hectic winter period.
Smalling picked up his injury whilst playing for United in the Champions League, Ander Herrera has a hamstring problem, and Matteo Darmian’s injury is a fresh concern, but it isn’t thought to be all that serious.
The likelihood is the trio will miss the next couple of games, but some could return for the clash against Stoke City, whilst all three are expected to return against Chelsea shortly afterwards.
