Manchester United’s fans have been calling out for Louis van Gaal to add a striker to his current artillery before the transfer deadline slams shut on Tuesday at 6pm, but thus far there shouts have been to no avail. However that may be about to change.
Reports in the Sun on Sunday say Swansea striker Bafatimbi Gomis has a £7million release clause in his current contract, and the publication go on to say that Manchester United’s chief scout Jim Lawlor has been tracking the Frenchman.
Gomis, 30, has scored in every Premier League game so far and has looked a real threat, particularly against Chelsea on the opening day of the season.
At £7million he could be an excellent cut-price option for Louis van Gaal, as the options are limited going into the transfer deadline.
Manchester United and their fans will be keeping a close eye on the Frenchman today as United take on Swansea in the Premier League at 16:00 GMT.
