Manchester United’s January transfer window has been one extremely dull one so far, which is quite shocking considering the current circumstances on the field. That may be about to change however, as according to The Sun, Manchester United have upped their interest in Sevilla’s Ever Banega.
The 27-year old has been ever-present in Sevilla’s midfield this term, scoring six goals in sixteen appearances for the Spanish team so far this season. However he could well be on the move before the end of the month, as Louis van Gaal hopes to bolster the midfield before the January transfer window slams shut.
Banega is one of those underrated midfielders in the game at the moment, and at 27 he is approaching the peak of his career, which is exactly what Manchester United need at the moment.
He likely wouldn’t cost all that much either, which means its really a no-brainer for Manchester United, who are in desperate need of some form of morale boost going into the business end of the season.
