Manchester United Football Club want to sign Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon this summer.
That’s according to the usually excellent Times, who says that the Red Devils are doing all they can to persuade the left-back to choose Old Trafford if he does decide to leave The Cottagers.
Jose Mourinho is keen to bring some youth into an ageing full-back position, with both Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young in the latter years of their career. Now the self-proclaimed Special One has added Sessegnon to his list of defenders that he’s been monitoring.
The 17-year-old scooped up both the Championship Player and Young Player of the Year Awards just last week, while also leading the division’s scoring charts with a mightily impressive fifteen strikes.
Sessegnon is an immensely talented individual who’s stock is rapidly growing across the footballing universe. Fulham have an excellent chance at being promoted this summer, but if their Premier League bid falls by the wayside, don’t be surprised to see him leave them this summer.
No doubt that United will be doing their utmost to sign Sessegnon, but don’t be surprised to see a whole host of European clubs in the mix, too, so acquiring his signature will not be easy.
