Manchester United Football Club and Louis van Gaal are in real turmoil at the moment, and the hierarchy at Old Trafford are clearly torn on what to do with the Dutchman. The latest news comes from the Daily Mail, who say the club want to sack him, but will wait until the summer.
The English publication go on to say that Manchester United are keen to land Pep Guardiola, who’ll be available this summer, hence why they want to stick with Louis van Gaal until that point.
They also go on to say that Edward Woodward is judging Van Gaal on a game-by-game basis, and will pull the trigger if necessary. This means we could well see Ryan Giggs once again named interim manager until the end of the season. Which would also be useful because we’d be able to see exactly how he progressed as a manager under the watchful eye of the Iron Tulip.
