Manchester United’s transfer business is often well documented purely due to the stature of the club. Some deals made work out perfectly, whereas others just struggle with the pressure of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the footballing world.
One man who hasn’t really been given a fair shot at it is Memphis Depay, and it looks as though his time at the Theatre of Dreams is drawing to a close rapidly.
The freshest reports coming from the usually reliable James Ducker says that Manchester United are willing to let Memphis link up with his Dutch compatriot Ronald Koeman at Everton. On a potential loan deal in January.
United are prepared to listen to offers for the 22-year-old, and wouldn’t mind him leaving on loan to gain that experience. They also reckon that him playing would raise his transfer value in case they did decide to part with the former PSV Eindhoven winger – which does make sense.
It would be a real shame to let him leave the club because he’s obviously supremely talented. At a club like Manchester United though, you often don’t get time to bed in and you have to hit the ground running. That could well mean his time here could be over.
