Manchester United willing to pay £120million for Gareth Bale

Manchester United are willing to break the bank in a bid to lure Gareth Bale to Old Trafford, according to Spanish media outlet AS. David Moyes made a last minute attempt to bring the Welshman to Manchester in 2013, but instead Bale opted for a switch to Real Madrid.

Louis van Gaal has now given United officials the green light to splash £120million on Bale, as he looks to bring Manchester United back to the top of world football.

Signing Bale would be a real statement of intent, but £120million is a huge amount of money for any player – particularly one who often has problems with injuries.

There is no doubt that Bale makes any team better, and if we could keep him fit it’d certainly go a long way to improving our chances at winning the Premier League title again. The 25-year old is a match-winner, as he probed on numerous occasions last season alone.

Should United splash this kind of cash on Bale? Leave you’re thoughts in the comment box below.
