Manchester United willing to sell Anthony Martial to fund move for superstar attacker: report

Manchester United Football Club are reportedly willing to part ways with Anthony Martial, in order to fund a move for Gareth Bale.

That’s according to The Mirror, per the Daily Mail, who add that Jose Mourinho is growing frustrated with the France international, and is ready to kick him out of the Old Trafford exit door.

Martial, who is just 22, has scored eleven goals across all competitions this term, as he struggles to find consistency in his game which is clearly irritating his manager.

Whether we like it or not, this would be a trademark Mourinho transfer; bringing in a proven, world-class individual while letting a young player leave the club; despite the huge potential that Martial clearly possesses.

Would I be on board the deal? 100% no. Martial’s ceiling is probably higher than Bale’s, and the fact that he doesn’t get injured anywhere near as often as his Welsh counterpart does is a massive plus in my opinion.

The likelihood is that United would have to sell Martial, then add even more money to fund any move for Bale, before paying the Real Madrid man huge wages as a sweetener for leaving the Santiago Bernabeu. On so many levels, this just feels like a bad piece of business if it were to happen.
