The last few days have been a bit bizarre for Manchester United in terms of transfers, as over the weekend the club were linked with a huge move for FC Barcelona’s Brazilian superstar Neymar – despite how unlikely a deal for the 23-year old may seem.
According to The Sun, Manchester United and Louis van Gaal are willing to pay a huge £240million to lure Neymar to Old Trafford this summer. Now this just seems absolutely absurd. The current transfer record would be eclipsed three times over if this transfer goes through, and we know United have plenty of money but this is just ridiculous.
Neymar is one of the best players on the planet who has just won all their is to be won at Barcelona in his two years there and there is zero chance of him leaving now.
I’m 100% certain he’s using United to get a new contract similarly to how Sergio Ramos did, and as a United fan there is absolutely no point thinking we could land Neymar this summer.
