Manchester United winger suffers hamstring injury, rated as 50/50 for Leicester trip

Manchester United Football Club take on Leicester City tomorrow evening, with a win guaranteeing a spot at the top of the table come the end of the weekend. Louis van Gaal has potentially been dealt a major blow ahead of that game, with Jesse Lingard rated as 50/50 for the game.

The English winger suffered a minor hamstring problem during the 0-0 draw at home to PSV, and after a scan on Thursday it is touch and go as to whether he’ll be able to play against Leicester.

Its a real shame for Jesse Lingard, with the 22-year old without doubt one of our better performers over the last few games. He capped that off with an unexpected call-up to the England side, but unfortunately he didn’t get on the pitch.

Hopefully this problem isn’t too serious and doesn’t keep him out for too long, because his energy and passion has been great to see over the last month.
