Louis van Gaal is known for his stubbornness and his willingness to part with his big name stars if they are not performing for the club. This summer has certainly been no different, with the Iron Tulip wielding the axe and parting with some of Manchester United’s biggest stars.
Squawka have compiled this XI of players who have left Manchester United permanently or on loan this summer, and it includes some big names.
Angel di Maria left after just a season at Old Trafford as he went to Paris Saint-Germain. The duo of Robin van Persie and Nani were both sold to Fenerbahce, with Rafael da Silva moving to Lyon.
Tom Cleverley left on a free, whereas Adnan Januzaj has been loaned out to Borussia Dortmund – a move which the fans weren’t particularly happy with.
The XI does indeed look quite strong, who knows, Fergie probably would have won the league with this team…
