Manchester United’s forgotten man set to sign for new club this summer

Earlier this summer, Manchester United made the huge decision to let Nick Powell leave Old Trafford on a free transfer. The young man came to the club with plenty of promise as a teenager, and scored a stunning goal on his debut to back up that ability and talent.

However, since that debut season he has suffered from a whole host of serious injuries which have hampered his development massively. That led to Jose Mourinho believing the best decision for Powell would be to let him go and find football elsewhere.

Today the Daily Mail reckon that Powell could be about to find himself a new club with the young man in talks with Blackburn Rovers about the possibility of joining the North-West team.

The 22-year-old still has a real chance at succeeding in the game, and Rovers’ interest in Powell is believed to stem through boss Owen Coyle, who worked with him previously during a loan move at Wigan Athletic.

I sincerely wish the young man well because he really does deserve to make a profession out of football. Hopefully, this move to Blackburn can kick-start hsi young career.
