Manchester United’s hopes of signing Sergio Ramos revived

Manchester United have had a solid transfer window up until this point, with Louis van Gaal sorting out the midfield problem, as well as bringing in a talented winger and a solid right-back who’ll both certainly improve our squad.

There is still an issue with the centre-back spot though, but Manchester United’s hopes of signing Sergio Ramos have been revived, after the Spaniard rejected Real Madrid’s latest contract offer of £135,000-a-week, as he holds out for more according to Cadena Ser.

It is thought that the 29-year old Ramos is growing increasingly frustrated at the Bernabeu, and Manchester United could be ready to pounce and finally land the man who they have been chasing all summer.

The move is probably still a long-shot, but if this one drags out until late in the window then Ramos could be tempted if United come in with a high enough contract offer for the centre-half.

Would Ramos be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
