Manchester United’s injury crisis gets worse as duo hobble off against Swansea

Just when it looks like Manchester United are in a nice purple patch of form, the Red Devils go and put in a performance like that. It was an abject display from all involved today and to Swansea’s credit they dug in and never gave up. In the end, the visitors deserved their point.

Matters were made even worse during the match as Jose Mourinho is now left sweating on the fitness of two more players ahead of our game against Celta Vigo on Thursday.

Both Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly hobbled off, making our defensive crisis look a whole lot deeper. As of right now we simply don’t have one fit centre-back available, and we finished today’s game with Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Antonio Valencia back there.

Things aren’t looking good for us at the moment. The self-proclaimed Special One must be cursing our bad luck, or is it more due to fatigue because of a sheer fixture pile-up? I guess it was going to catch up with us eventually.

As of right now, we have Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic done for the season. Paul Pogba missed out today, as did Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. We’re not looking in good shape in this moment, and I’m very intrigued as to what kind of team Mourinho decides to put out on Thursday.
