Manchester United were dealt a major blow early on in the season, as Luke Shaw suffered an horrific double leg-break in a Champions League game against PSV. Many thought the young left-back would be done for the season, but due to the warrior he is, he could be back this term.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the 20-year old is poised for a return to training in April, and could play for Manchester United before the end of the season providing he has no more setbacks.
This is fantastic news and a massive morale boost to everyone, but nobody more than Luke Shaw himself. At times he has been open about how tough rehabilitation has been for the young man, and it would be huge for him if he can take to the field at some point before the season ends.
It would also put him back in contention for Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad, as well as allowing him to get a full pre-season under his belt and regaining his fitness for next season.
