Manchester United’s Luke Shaw passed fit to play against former club

Manchester United have been handed yet another reason to smile ahead of the visit of Southampton on Sunday, as the former Saints player Luke Shaw has been passed fit to play against his former side. It looks as though the 19-year old will probably start the game too, due to Ashley Young’s injury.

Shaw has drifted in and out of the Manchester United side due to various ankle and hamstring injuries, but he has shown flashes of brilliance in his short-stay in the team – slowly but surely making dents into that £27million price tag.

Hopefully now he can stay fit for a prolonged period, and prove to the Premier League just how good he can be for this club. At the tender age of 19, he has at least ten years at the very highest level and he could well go down as one of the greats of this club if he continues to develop and spends his whole career at Old Trafford.

That all starts tomorrow, and lets see how he copes against the club who gave him the chance as a youngster.
