Manchester United’s man of the moment set for international debut

Manchester United ended their season in bittersweet style, with Louis van Gaal delivering the FA Cup trophy, before losing his job shortly after. One of the best things the Iron Tulip did was promote Marcus Rashford to the first-team fold, and what a whirlwind of a few months it has been for the young man.

It looked as though his international dream was about to be put on hold as he limped off the Wembley turf in the cup final on Saturday, but thankfully the problem isn’t thought to be serious.

Now Sky Sports News say that the 18-year old is all set for his England debut this coming Friday, when the Three Lions take on Australia in an international friendly ahead of the European Championships.

With just two games left before the big tournament, Marcus Rashford will probably have to find the back of the net a few times in those games if he is to have any chance of making it into the final 23-man squad.
