Manchester United could be about to say goodbye to an absolute legend. Ryan Giggs is all set to end a 29-year affiliation with the club, and he could well be on his way to Nottingham Forest. That’s according to the Daily Mail, who says he is the favourite to take over as manager at Forest.
I think as soon as the club announced that Jose Mourinho was coming in as manager, it signalled curtains for the 42-year-old Giggs.
It was always going to be a case of either give him the job, or he will walk out on Manchester United. Sadly, it would have been too big of a gamble to bring Giggsy in under the current circumstances, and letting him leave and gain experience elsewhere is definitely the best option.
Whilst it will be sad to see him go, it is the right thing to do. He has to put his career first at this point in time, and hopefully he gets the Forest job and manages to guide them to the Premier League.
