Manchester United are seemingly pursuing the services of Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, with Jose Mourinho keen to make him one of his first signings at Old Trafford. Despite the fact that the Swede is out-of-contract, he certainly won’t come cheap.
According to Goal UK’s Loic Tanzi (via Bleacher Report), Manchester United have offered the influential 34-year old a huge £8million signing on bonus for just one year’s work – alongside a reported £250,000-a-week contract.
Manchester United are already taking a huge gamble as it is by bringing in a man of Zlatan’s age, but to offer him these wages on top of that shows just how badly the club want him.
At the end of the day, United are in a real situation where failure once again isn’t an option. Edward Woodward and the rest of the Old Trafford board members have to get this one right – and it seems they are willing to throw the cash at several players to achieve success.
