ManUnited ‘open to offers’ for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Man United could move on from Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer…

There’s no doubt that the overhaul at Manchester United is going to be large. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen player turnover like we’re going to see over the next few months.

Loads of first-teamers will leave on free transfers, while others will be sold – assuming the right offers come in for them.

Erik ten Hag has a massive job on his hands to not only replace these players with genuine quality, but start to implement his tactics and ideas from day one…

First and foremost, though, the mass exodus continues. A report from the Manchester Evening News suggests another player could be on the chopping block; Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to their report, United are ‘open to offers’ for the 24-year-old, who has fallen out of favour under Ralf Rangnick this term.

We have to be honest with ourselves. Wan-Bissaka is a stunning defender. He’s the best full-back in the country when it comes to tracking back and executing the slide tackle to perfection.

However, he’s an offensive liability and the attack is always completely stagnant down that right-hand side due to his lack of quality in the final third. We’d all hoped he’d have developed that area of his game in the couple of years that he’s been at Old Trafford, but that sadly, hasn’t happened.

Although the player himself remains focused on staying at the club, Wan-Bissaka may have that decision taken out of his hands by United if a suitable offer comes in.

Any outgoing transfer for the Englishman would also count on the Reds signing someone to replace him, as I’m not sure Diogo Dalot is anywhere near good enough to be our first choice going into the 2022/23 season.
