Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez have been pictured donning Man United gear, as their apparent Red Devils transfers draw closer.
Fortunately for us, Marc Jurado has been documenting his move to Manchester via Instagram. Just yesterday, we covered a story on the defender, as he arrived in Manchester, admitting his excitement at joining the Old Trafford club.
Now today, he linked up with another youngster who is close to sealing his future at the Theatre of Dreams; Real Madrid youngster, Alvaro Fernandez.
First, it’s time for some context. The Manchester Evening News state that United are hopeful of confirming these two deals for Jurado and Fernandez shortly.
However, it seems as though Jurado has let the cat out of the bag, once again via his Instagram page… He uploaded a photo, to his Instagram Stories, of himself and Fernandez, the proposed United signings, wearing club gear. In essence, the deals to sign both are all-but-official.

Now, it’s just a waiting game. However, kudos to United. They’ve managed to prise two of Spanish football’s biggest talents away from Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively, and lure them to Manchester.
Sure, it may take both a season or so to settle into life in their new surroundings, though United deserve praise for getting these deals done.
Again, it’s another case of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer showing his intentions of building in the long-term. I will state that the first-team does need work, but it’s always smart to hoover up the best up-and-comers wherever possible.
These two certainly look up for the challenge, while adding them to a youth setup containing Hannibal Mejbri, Teden Mengi, Ethan Laird and James Garner is definitely exciting. You have to be feeling positive that we’ll see several stars breaking through over the next couple of seasons.
