Marc Jurado is closing in on a move to Man United, after leaving FC Barcelona. Yesterday, he arrived in Manchester.
We posted photos of Jurado getting aboard the plane to Manchester yesterday, along with a story from the Manchester Evening News.
The MEN stated that Jurado is set to officially seal his move to Old Trafford in the ‘coming weeks’, with United undoubtedly pleased as being able to poach one of the best 16-year-old players in the world from the famous La Masia academy.
Apparently, the move is waiting on international clearance, which United don’t expect to be a problem.
Now, Jurado himself has all-but confirmed the move, admitting he’s ‘so excited to start’ as he arrives at Manchester airport. He posted the photos, along with the caption, on his Instagram page.

So who is Marc Jurado?
Well, Jurado is a defender by trade. Barcelona actually wanted to keep him, by offering the Spaniard a three-year professional contract. However, he thought he’d have a better chance at first-team football by making the move to Old Trafford.
The 16-year-old is a full-back with bags of pace and ability. He likes to constantly overlap and make those lung-bursting runs forward from that right-back position. In essence, he’d offer something different to Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Jurado actually holds a FC Barcelona youth record, scoring their quickest-ever goal after finding the net in just five(!) seconds at U10 level.
He seems like a confident young man, though breaking into the first-team in Manchester will not be easy. He’ll probably need a season to settle into life in England, though perhaps we could see Jurado on pre-season tour (if we even have one) next summer.
Now, we’re just waiting for official confirmation from the Red Devils.
