Marcos Rojo withdraws from Argentina international duty: report

It’s typical that just when Manchester United begin to find their feet, the Red Devils are stopped by the international break…

I guess that this period is a good time for ole Gunnar Solskjaer to try and get some players back from injury, as players have been spending far too much time on the treatment table of late.

Anyway, one man who will not be jetting off to play for his country is Marcos Rojo. Apparently, according to the Manchester Evening News, the United star has withdrawn from international duty – but there has been no reason given for his absence.

Obviously, we can speculate. The defender has only really come back from injury recently and perhaps he’s feeling the burn a little bit and needs the break? I guess travelling to the other side of the world isn’t good on the body…

One thing we can say we pretty much 100% certainty is that Rojo isn’t injured. The defender came on in added time to replace Brandon Williams during United’s 3-1 victory over Brighton. Maybe it’s a precautionary measure? We’re just not sure…

Either way, it’s good news for United. Rojo won’t have the stress of extra games on his body going into the hectic winter period. For all his critics, I actually think he’s been pretty good this season – and long may that continue…

Club > country, always! Though I guess that’s easy for us to say…
