Marcus Rashford has been named the PL Player of the Month for January.
Manchester United’s month of January was largely successful. The Old Trafford club tightened their grip on the Premier League’s top four with some vital wins – though that loss to Arsenal did leave a sour taste in the mouth.
This was a four-week period in which Erik ten Hag relied heavily on sheer brilliance from Marcus Rashford. The Englishman was nothing short of unplayable at times.
Goals, assists, directness, team playing and more than anything in a Ten Hag side – hard work. It was the most complete period from a player who has divided opinions at times.
Anyway, for his accomplishments, Marcus Rashford has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for January – his second time this season and third in his career.

It just goes to show how hard Rashford is working on the training field. The Englishman is putting in the hard graft and that’s seemingly paying dividends.
It also helps having a manager who truly believes in you. Ten Hag is absolutely loving working with Rashford, who is repaying that faith after a really tough eighteen-month period in his young career.
From now until the end of the season, this is the Rashford that United have to rely on. We’re somewhat threadbare in that final third of the field, with Rashy carrying plenty of expectation on his shoulders. When he’s fully fit and confident, though, I fully believe he can propel us to bigger and better things.
Then, when the summer rolls around, United have to do everything within their power to ensure Rashford signs a new deal at the club. We’re going to need him.
