Marcus Rashford ahead of schedule in recovery: report

Marcus Rashford is seemingly preparing to return way earlier than expected.

Manchester United’s loss of Marcus Rashford has kind of been somewhat easier to take since Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at the club – though make no mistake about it, we’ve missed him.

The Englishman was integral to our success last term, contributing to over 30 goals across all competitions. He was expected to be out until the end of October.

However, we’ve been given some positive news in that regard. It comes from journalist Henry Winter.

Apparently, the United star is ahead of schedule in his recovery from injury, with Rashford ‘so focused’ on regaining fitness after going under the knife on a shoulder issue.

The good news doesn’t stop there, with Rashford likely to step up training ‘imminently’, with the striker looking to play his part for his beloved Red Devils sooner rather than later.

Now the hard work really starts for Rashford. He’s about a month behind the rest of the squad in terms of fitness levels and match sharpness. It’s going to take him a fair amount of time to get back up to speed, even more so because he’s had no pre-season whatsoever.

The manager and coaching staff will look after him and adopt the cautious approach – which is the way it should be. There’s still plenty of time left in the season and I genuinely don’t doubt Rashford will make an impact on our season.

From the outside looking in, I’ll doubt we’ll see him play in the first team this month. I’m looking at the October international break as the opportune moment. That’ll allow Rashford a fortnight to get two good weeks training under his belt and perhaps a behind-closed-doors game or two.

This is some brilliant news, and I can’t wait to see Rashford in action.
