Marcus Rashford is confirmed to be fit enough to take on AS Roma at Old Trafford later today.
Well, here we go again. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United have reached their fifth semi-final in just over two years. That’s pretty impressive, but now it’s time to get over the hump…
The Europa League is a great tournament. Lifting that trophy would be a massive confidence-booster to all involved with Manchester United right now and ahead of our game later, we’ve been given some positive injury news.
United have been handed a massive injury lift, with key star Marcus Rashford passed fit for the match. What’s even better is that he’s gone through ‘the worst’ of his problems now.
See what the gaffer had to say on Marcus Rashford’s injury here:
“We have managed Marcus and we have had to do it for quite a while,” Solskjaer told the media, including ManUtd.com. “I feel he’s gone through the worst now. He’s available for selection tomorrow, he’s happy with the progress.”
Rashford has over 30 goal contributions next to his name this season. Many of those have come when he’s been hobbling about on one leg, which makes his campaign all the more impressive.
Now, it’s about finishing the season strong. Rashford is going to have to be at his absolute best for all our three games over the next week. Winning all of them will go an awfully long way to determining our success this year.
It all starts later tonight against Serie A side AS Roma. Hopefully, Rashford starts, plays well and helps us book our place in a massive European final.
Then comes the European Championships. Rashford is amongst England’s best players and I love watching him operate for both club and country – and he absolutely adores pulling on that England jersey.
