Marcus Rashford cleared to step up rehab following encouraging progress during injury recovery: report

On Saturday, we covered a story from Marcus Rashford himself, who admitted that he’s feeling ‘ten times’ better as he looks to make a return from a troublesome back injury.

Today, we’ve heard direct from ManUtd.com. They re-hash Rashford’s words on the issue, while also offering a huge injury boost on the striker.

Apparently, the United star has been cleared to step up his rehabilitation recovery following encouraging signs on his latest scans. The club also adds that Rashford will continue to be monitored by the club’s medical team while remaining on lockdown.

Before suffering the back problem, Rashford was having his best season ever. The young starlet was scoring goals for fun while proving to be a real menace from that left-wing – and I’m absolutely delighted that we’ll have him back for the all-important run-in.

Sure, when things start up again I’m fully expecting Rashford to be slowly integrated back into the team, but just having him as an option gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer an extra body as we fight it out on three fronts.

Hopefully, Rashford is now allowed to start doing some ball work and who knows, by the time we’re allowed to play football again, the Wythenshawe-born-forward may well be at the same fitness level as all of his teammates who’ll ow be lacking that match sharpness…
