Marcus Rashford may well make his return to Man United training sooner than expected.
Yesterday, Marcus Rashford sent a message to the fans following a successful surgery on a problematic shoulder.
Now, we’ve been given more information on when the Englishman can potentially return. The information comes from Sky Sports News.
Apparently, the Man United star is set to make his training return in 5 weeks following injury. However, sadly, the late-October return to action remains. That’s because it’ll take 12 weeks in total before Rashford is ready to play in an in-game situation.
As we all know, Rashford was practically playing on one leg at various stages last season, nursing two or three different injuries that were visibly bothering him.
His desire to play at EURO 2020 cannot be taken away from Rashy, either. He loves representing his country, although it means his 2021/22 campaign will start later than we’d all have hoped.
I guess we have to look at it positively. Upon his return, Rashford will be fully fit and firing which is a scary thought for Premier League defences up and down the country.
We’re talking about a world-class footballer, who hasn’t been able to show his full capabilities recently. Although it hurts not having him in the short-term, the fact that he’s going to be returning to 100% will only benefit both player and club over the next few years.
The surgery has gone well and Rashford is a determined young man. He’ll be feeling positive about the situation, resting up and feeling ready to begin his rehabilitation period.
He’ll likely miss about ten league games and a handful of cup games across various competitions. However, we’ll have him back for the business end of the campaign which is the most important thing. Let’s hope we’re firmly in a title race at that point!
