Marcus Rashford will not feature for England during this international break.
Just earlier today, we covered a claim which suggested that Marcus Rashford was doubtful to take on San Marino tonight.
Now we’ve been given more information on Rashford, with the United star dealt an injury blow. According to The Athletic, he’s been ruled out of all three international games for his beloved England during this international break.
He’ll now return to Manchester United to continue his recovery, but why did he travel, I hear you ask? Well, Rashford had a ‘desire’ to be in and around the England setup, wanting to partake in team meetings and reconnect with his international teammates.
Whatever your views on Rashford, you have to applaud that mindset. He doesn’t want to miss a thing, he wants to know all the ins and outs ahead of a massive European Championships for England this coming summer.
In the end, I’m just relieved that Rashford will now be given the best part of two weeks to rest up and recharge the batteries. Make no mistake about it, United have some massive games coming up and we’re going to need our second-highest scorer to make an impact – in both the Premier League and Europa League.
As I wrote in the earlier article, I’m just worried about Rashford’s health issues at the moment. Back, shoulder, ankle, thigh. The forward has been dealing with them all this season and the sooner he has surgery to correct those back and shoulder issues, the better he’ll feel for the years to come.
Hopefully, he can now get through the rest of this season unscathed, helping United deliver a trophy in the process..
