Man United is edging ever closer to fitness after spending three months out sidelined.
Manchester United’s start to the season has been pretty mixed. The Red Devils have a strong squad though, that cannot be denied.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s offensive arsenal is about to become even stronger, too. Marcus Rashford is nudging towards a return after missing the last three months following successful surgery.
The Englishman went under the knife back in late July, following playing with pain for the best part of a year, in order to help club and country.
Now, the United star has been spotted back in training, all-smiles, as he works ever-closer to his return to the mix. He took to Twitter to send the shot, along with the message ‘one step closer’.
Check out Rashford’s tweet here:
I think Rashford’s going to have a massive say on our season when he eventually returns. We all know how talented this young man is and we’re a far better team with him in it.
However, he’s been out for so long that people tend to forget just how good he is. Sure, it’ll take Rashy some time to get back up to speed, but don’t forget that he contributed to over 30 goals last season – while playing injured half the time.
The key now is to not rush him back too quickly. Obviously, Rashford will be chomping at the bit to take to the field and help his teammates. However, Solskjaer must be patient and give him all the time in the world to get back to 100% before throwing him into the starting line-up.
The last thing we’d need is to lose Rashford for an even longer period because he wasn’t given the time to fully recover.
It’s great to see you back out there, Marcus!
