ll crManchester United’s Marcus Rashford has had a whirlwind of a few months to begin his fledgling career. He made his club debut in February, and then went on to be a mainstay in the side. Now, he is representing the Three Lions at the absolute highest level.
Today he made his first international appearance for his country at a major tournament – becoming the youngest ever play in England’s history to play at the European Championships.
During his cameo, Rashford made a brilliant impression on the fans due to his no fear attitude, and played a real part in stretching the Welsh defence whilst in attack.
He really has a bright future for England, and it’s brilliant to see Roy Hodgson recognise what a talent the 18-year-old is – and his willingness to give him minutes at such a vital period is credit to him.
As you’d imagine, the young man was thrilled to be involved and took to Twitter to express his delight.
