Manchester United Football Club have always been known for their ability to produce exceptional teenage talent. That mantra will never change, it’s in our blood.
However, perhaps the best player to come out of the academy over the last few years, Marcus Rashford, is ready to consider his Old Trafford future.
According to The Sun, the 21-year-old is being targeted by Los Blancos, and will consider making a move to the Santiago Bernabeu if his stop-start season continues.
It certainly does feel as though Rashford has been in and out of the side this term. Some of that is due to poor performances, while Jose Mourinho has to take some of the blame as the player isn’t being given any opportunity to find consistency.
Rashford is a top talent, there is no denying that. His pace, directness and sheer ability is up there amongst the best young players on the plane. We saw it last season, we’ve seen it while he’s been on international duty, but this term, at United, the 21-year-old has been struggling.
All it takes is Mourinho to give him a decent run in the side, preferably up top as a striker, and I bet that United start to reap the rewards within just a few games. That’s just how good he is.
