Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini was arrested for drink-driving just hours after United’s 3-0 victory over Liverpool, according to The Mirror. The big Belgian was caught at 5:20am over the limit, before a second breath test shown that he was under the limit.
“The driver was given a breath test and arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
“Following the results of a second breath test conducted in police custody the man was de-arrested.”
Fellaini has been in fine form since his return from injury, with the game against Liverpool probably his weakest performance of a good run. The 27-year old then missed United’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa due to an illness, but he is expected to return to the squad on Boxing Day when United host Newcastle.
