Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has made a final decision on his future, he’s set to walk away from Old Trafford this summer.
That’s according to the Press Association, per The Metro, despite the fact that Jose Mourinho put a big-money contract on the table, Fellaini has decided to call time on his Red Devils career.
Fellaini was the first signing made in the era post-Sir Alex Ferguson, and the aforementioned report is claiming that he had a whopping £140,000-a-week offer sent his way. Instead, he’s set to walk away fro free and move elsewhere.
At 30, this is probably his last chance at securing himself one final, big-money move, and you cannot really blame him for wanting a change of scenery. Who knows where he’ll end up, but he has been sensationally linked with a switch to Arsenal; something that their fans probably won’t be all-too-pleased with…
His time at Old Trafford probably won’t be remembered all that fondly. Large portions of the fanbase have never really taken to the midfielder, but honestly, I feel it’s a shame to see him go. As a plan B, there are certainly worse options out there, and he was always good for a goal or two every now and then.
Good luck to him, wherever he ends up…
