Marouane Fellaini ruled out of Man Utd’s trip to Aston Villa

Manchester United have been dealt a blow ahead of their visit to the midlands to take on Aston Villa tomorrow, as Marouane Fellaini has been ruled out of the game due to an illness. The news was given to us by Louis van Gaal in his pre-match press conference, and hopefully the problem won’t keep him out for too long as we enter the hectic winter period.

Fellaini has been the in-form midfielder since his return to action against West Brom. He topped off an excellent second half with a simply stunning goal that day, and since then he has bossed the midfield in pretty much every game he has started.

He brought that combative side to Manchester United’s midfield, and that’ll be sorely missed at a tricky away ground like Villa Park tomorrow. Whoever comes in [probably Herrera] will have to throw his weight around as much as possible to give us that power in the centre of the park.

Has Fellaini been our best midfielder this season? Leave you’re thoughts in the comment box below.
