We’ve finally been given a date as to when we may see Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez out on the training field in Man United colours.
Manchester United Football Club have finally been given a date as to when new signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez could train with the club for the first time.
Agreements have been reached to sign both players, as Erik ten Hag looks to mould his squad into one that fits his style of play. However, neither joined up with the pre-season tour squad who were over in Australia – as it was a deemed a trip that wasn’t worth while.
Now, UtdDistrict have provided us some information on that front. Apparently, the pair ‘could train’ with Ten Hag’s squad for the first time this Tuesday. But only if their registration is complete in time.
Ten Hag has given his whole squad Monday off, after landing back in Manchester on Saturday night following their four-game tour over in Australasia.
Agreements to sign Eriksen and Martinez were reached on the 15th and 17th of July respectively and we’re yet to see these guys officially unveiled – so you’d imagine that things would have to move pretty quickly in order for the pair to be out there on the pitch this coming Tuesday.
However, it goes without saying, the sooner they’re out there, the better. Both will have to adjust to living in a new city, while Eriksen will need time to learn the Ten Hag system. There’s also going to be a settling-in period as they get used to playing with different footballers.
With two pre-season games left (one on Saturday, one on Sunday), time is running out for these guys to get some minutes in the tank before the serious action starts.
