Mason Greenwood was named Man United’s Player of the Month for August.
No doubt the summer off did our Starboy the world of good. It allowed Mason Greenwood to solely focus on improving and developing his game – while also resting up ahead of the new season.
Credit to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has managed the 19-year-old perfectly. The Baby Faced Assassin knows when to rest the teenager, he knows when to play him through the middle or out wide.
As for Greenwood himself, he’s clearly working hard and putting the effort in to maximise that insane ability he has.
The attacker’s start to the season couldn’t have gone any better. He’s scored three in three. One against each of Leeds United, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers. All different in their own way, but all equally important.
For that fantastic start to the season, Greenwood has been voted United’s Player of the Month for August.

Honestly, this kid can be whatever he wants to be. That’s just how good he is.
Although it hurt last week when the team was announced, perhaps Greenwood being omitted from the latest England squad was the best thing to happen for everyone involved.
The 19-year-old will now be feeling fresh once again, having had a fortnight off and feeling fully ready to go against Newcastle United this Saturday. Eventually, the England caps will undoubtedly come. Make no mistake about that.
I guess the challenge for Greenwood now is to just keep pushing. The goal will be to score as many as possible and honestly, I genuinely think he could get into the twenties in terms of goals scored across all competitions. For a teenager, that’s pretty incredible.
Congratulations, Mason! More of the same, please!
