It goes without saying that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is coming under immense pressure at Manchester United at the moment. The results haven’t been good – though the Baby Faced Assassin needs time.

Well, it seems as though one manager is already forward-planning should Solskjaer lose his Old Trafford post…

The story comes from The Guardian, who state that the 52-year-old former Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is targeting the Manchester United job.

So-much-so that the Italian is already learning English as Allegri is keen on a role in the Premier League, while being ‘keen’ on a move to the Theatre of Dreams.

Now The Guardian does state that United have ‘no intention’ of sacking Solskjaer at this stage, though they do write that Allegri would be on a two or three man shortlist should the Baby Faced Assassin have to be relieved of his duties.

For me, though, it’s about sticking with what we have. This club has been far too willing to bail too quickly – not allowing manager’s time to implement their tactics and ideas.

Go with Solskjaer, ride it out and at least give him the full season. After all, he has shown astuteness in the transfer market and he’s not been making any rash decisions when it comes to dipping his toes into the water.

For now, let’s get behind our man and give him our full support. Allegri is a nice option to have if he’s still available in a year or so, mind…
