Manchester United welcome the Premier League champions Leicester City to the Theatre of Dreams this weekend, as Claudio Ranieri and Jose Mourinho will go head-to-head for the first time this season. It presents the reds with a real opportunity to right a few wrongs, and show they are serious contenders.

The game itself will obviously be extremely tough, but it will be intriguing. There are excellent tactical battles all over the field, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic against Leicester’s mighty defence, and the lightning pace of Jamie Vardy taking on Eric Bailly.
In terms of the managerial battle, the ‘Tinkerman’ Ranieri seems to always find the best system and style to overcome the odds. His teams are frightening on the counter attack and they’ll be looking to exploit that. Manchester United are likely to have the bulk of the ball, and will have to keep plugging away to break down a resilient defence.
We’ve gone over the betting markets to find out where the value lies, and there is definitely some money to be made here if you play it wisely. Check out a few of our favourite tips below.
History to repeat itself?
If you fancy a repeat of the 2-1 victory to the reds that we witnessed in the Community Shield, you can get a nice 15/2 on that, and this is a gamble we like – particularly due to the fact that we fancy both teams to net.
First goalscorer
The first goalscorer market is a popular selection for punters, and it’s no different for this one. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a 15/4 shot to find the back of the goal first, whereas Marcus Rashford is another viable option at 16/5.
Leicester City won’t go down easily, and their record signing Islam Slimani looked super last weekend, as he helped himself to an excellent brace. He is a 27/10 shot to find the back of the net at any time.
United to drop more points?
For the pessimists amongst us, perhaps your money lies in backing Leicester City to take some points off Jose Mourinho’s men. The draw comes in at an extremely tempting 3/1, with a score draw priced at 4/1. A Foxes victory fetches odds of 17/4 which is tempting.
