Manchester United are just over one week away from their opening Premier League fixture against Chelsea. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer versus Frank Lampard in the managerial dugout certainly gets the juices flowing…

Before that, though, the 20-time Premier League champions have one final pre-season game to get through. Win it and they’ll actually be crowned International Champions Cup champions…

Kick-off date/time: Saturday 3rd August, 5:30pm UK time.
TV Channel: MUTV.
Stadium: Millenium Stadium.

This is the final opportunity for players to prove that they deserve to be named in the starting line-up that takes on Chelsea. Solskjaer will likely continue to give minutes to many squad members as he contemplates his all-important decisions.

Team News

Romelu Lukaku is yet to play during pre-season. I fully expect that to continue here as he’ll still be feeling mentally fragile. Eric Bailly is the only confirmed absentee while Alexis Sanchez has returned to training recently so maybe we’ll see him involved?

I’d expect the manager to go with his strongest team for this one as he looks to gauge whose ready for next Sunday’s game against Chelsea.

Match Odds

Manchester United are actually heavy favourites for this one. They’re odds-on (3/4) while AC Milan are actually just over 3/1. We like the BTTS market (as per usual here).

Score Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 AC Milan.

Going six from six in pre-season would be an excellent confidence-booster. I’m tipping us to do just that, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial getting themselves on the score-sheet.
